Retail Merchant Account, Accounts

A retail merchant account, is the term used when a merchant is able to swipe their customers card through a credit card machine. A retail merchant account qualifies for the lowest credit card processing rate, because there is very little security risk involved with taking this type of transaction. To qualify for a retail merchant account, the merchant must be planning to swipe at least 80% of their transactions through a credit card machine, or through a wireless credit card machine.
